dear gazzain Jan there are several species of Tamarix are found in Balochistan. My teacher and present Vice Chancellor of Karachi Univervisty Professor Dr. Mohammad Qaisar Sahib did his PhD on family Tamaracacea and he classified several species and also added some endemic species of this genus in his remarkable thesis. In Balochi we have Gaz, Go-Guz, Sohr Guz, thaguz. etc. some botanical names are as follows, T.indica, small shrub grow in Karachi, beside T. aphylla tree to small tree grow in dry stream bed of Hub, Porli, Hngool and Jao. You can access Dr. Sahib thesis on HEC website where Pakistani PhD thesis are avialable online.
